Gisborne.

Went and visited my good friend Shevaun today. The last time I drove out her way was for her wedding day so it was definitely overdue. Shev lives in Gisborne which is about an hour's drive from Melbourne. After stopping off at the op-shop near her house to snap up some ridiculously good sales she took me to Woodend to a lovely cafe which made smashingly good coffee. Yummy food too.

We then drove over to the lavender farm in Daylesford but unfortunately the lavender wasn't in bloom (surprise surprise... it is flipping COLD here) so we had a bit of fun trying to skip along the swing bridge but refused to pay the $3.50 entry for no lavender so drove back into Daylesford. Here we stopped off at Frangos and Frangos for some pear and frangipani pie and then visited the Daylesford Bazaar. Which, of course, was my type of place.

On the drive from Woodend to Daylesford I had seen a beautiful cemetery which I guessed would soon get the beautiful setting sun over the hill so after we were done at the Bazaar we hurried back to try and catch the light before it was too low. Sure enough we only got about ten minutes of good lighting.

What I wore:
Hat: Sportsgirl
Dress: Op-shop
Belt: Op-shop
Black velvet cardigan: Savers
Boots: Target
Rings: Rosebud market and Cambodian market.
Photos of me thanks to Shevaun Worrell.

And as for Sydney news... I have been approved for accommodation. Thank goodness! Now just to find a job. I'm definitely going to be embracing the life of a poor student! Should be fun though and it will definitely stretch me if nothing else.
